There is no greater realisation than knowing it’s perfectly ok to be yourself.

Realize…

Thinking of the feelings you provoke. The fear you ignite. Thinking of the little girl inside so scared of your rejection. Forgetting that I am bigger and more important than you acceptance and your thoughts.

I’ve decided not to wait for you to realize my worth. I’ve decided to realize my own worth, because I know the only thing that keeps me waiting is my lack of understanding; I realize I don’t actually realize how worthy I am of you. I’m bigger than your thoughts or lack thereof.

Life teaches us that patience is a virtue; they enforce such beliefs and morals in our lives forgetting to include the exclusion clauses. I’m going to teach myself that I am beautiful and I don’t need you to realize this or even understand it. I’m not waiting for you to fall on your head and realize what was waiting in front of you.

You’re nice and I think you’re cute, but I don’t think you realize that I am nice and cute too. Actually I’m more than nice and cute. I’m beautiful and amazing.

When you realize this don’t bother calling because I won’t be waiting anymore.

Never settle for anything less than GOD’s best!..

You need to realize your worth – something I often say to myself or people I love. One thing I have realized and I think we can all can agree on is that growing up is hard, and something that’s even harder is setting yourself apart from the rest, standing by God and not giving in to peer pressure or to the worldly standards of what we deserve.

We often go through life forgetting the sacrifice Jesus made for us and forgetting our worth. We settle for people that don’t deserve us or act according to what our friends are doing, we disregard what’s right all because we want to please people and not God.

I’ve seen good friends settle into bad relationships and people change to please crowds, I’ve seen people not giving themselves a chance to something better all because they are afraid to be alone. We don’t realize that unless we know the creator of love and we comprehend the greatness of his love, we are incapable of loving because we don’t actually understand what it means to love someone or something.

Never be afraid to give yourself a chance and to give God a chance to change you and make you greater, Give him a chance to show you what he has planed for you. I read somewhere once; ‘ never be afraid to give up something good for something great.’ – it changed my life, because since then I’ve decided not to settle for anything less than God’s best! I will wait for him and his promises for my life no matter how long it takes and no matter how many times I fall, because boy do I know how much I fall in and out of his love and embrace.

We belong to a loving and faithful God, who has created earth, moon and stars to see us prosper and grow, to see us happy and in a place of success and love, settling for less than you deserve is an insult to both yourself and God. Jesus died so we could have much more, don’t let any other person take that away from you, don’t let yourself take it away.

Give yourself a chance!

“For I know the plans I have for you Declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11

Have faith in his goodness! Go for your dreams regardless of what anyone has to say about it, because if God is for us who can be against us! Have faith in yourself and the power of his name! Have the courage to let go of the hurt, even if it means letting go of people and things we’ve known and depended on for a long time.

Nothing good comes easy, and sometimes the pain is the answer to our prayers. When we ask God for something be prepared for what he gives you even if it’s not what you thought it would be, because his answer is always right.

If we didn’t have pain we wouldn’t appreciate him as much as we should!

Remember you are wonderfully and fearfully made! If God has something planned for you, no devil in hell can ever take it away!

God is always faithful, sometimes we just need patience to realize it.

2012 I decided I am going to give myself a chance to receive God’s best and I hope you will do the same.

Christianity is the ultimate transformation story. You and I are invited into a relationship with God, and in this relationship we are transformed from the inside out — from darkness to light. Jesus takes our brokenness and forms something beautiful. We are transformed into a masterpiece for which only He could get the glory. Miraculously, sinners become saints, the lost are found, and the blind can see.

setting a good example, being LESS selfish and following YOUR dreams!

We live in a world driven by materialism and celebrating celebrities, where we all try so hard to be different but all end up looking the same…

Where being misunderstood is the new in thing and everyone wants to be a ‘different’ kind of creative, where success is determined by extrinsic possessions.

as you read this post, look into yourself and see what do YOU live for, and are you actually doing your best?..

Don’t confuse the aim of this post, I am not saying that we should stop doing things we enjoy and that we should stop following trends. I am not saying that the way you currently live your life is wrong, but I want to provoke thought in you, important thought.

I want you to ask this question: does my life have meaning? Am I making a difference, or better yet, am I making a contribution to the world?

» Because you must recognize, “every change you make in your life, no matter how small, makes a difference in this world, because it has a ripple effect.”

Tom Shadyac, a famous hollywood producer is a man to looked up too, he made a documentary called “I am” and it talks about what I am talking about now, but a little differently…

His documentary basically had 3 concepts:

  1. The entire human race is connected and we don’t need to take more than we need.
  2. People are hard wired to live together and work together, (not to be competitive.)
  3. If you don’t do what you love it will destroy you ( not what your head says, but what you heart says.)

That is what I want you to realise by reading this post.

Firstly, Shadyac wanted people to realise that,The Entire Human Race is Connected. He bought an interesting point up and that, if we took a look at all the animals in the world, any living organism you would realise that they only take what they need, nothing more and nothing less. Being selfish is just as bad as being a jealous or a deceitful person, I believe that God put us on this earth to help each other, and that if an opportunity arises where you can help someone you must take it, and not be selfish and concentrate on what you would lose. We need to always remember that by helping someone in need, God will reciprocate that love 10 fold. And that yes, we truly are all connected, regardless or age, gender or race.

Giving does not always need to be something of monetary value, giving can be a smile, or helping someone get onto the bus, it could be letting someone in front of you in a queue who is rushing, or simply letting something go or being the bigger person.

Secondly, he spoke about living together and working together as people and that kind of ties to the first point, living peacefully is important, setting a peaceful example to children and anyone you have influence over is important. Being kind and loving, and working hard not only for your own good but the good of others makes the world a better place even as cliche as that sounds. Never take advantage of another person with the aim to get to the top, give credit where it is due, and give up a little if it will help someone become a better person, or have better life.

The world we live in has become so competitive, that we seem to have forgotten that “two heads are better than one.” That we can accomplish even more by simply working together.

The world is also stuck on having ‘beef’ with other people, holding grudges and starting fights, we NEED to learn to let things go! No matter if you are right or wrong, take responsibility for your actions and move on. Good always prevails over evil, so don’t stoop to the level of evil. Set a good example and be a good role model, not only to the people around you, but to yourself as well.

Lastly, Shadyac spoke about following your dreams, a good friend of mine (http://ri0.tumblr.com/) wrote to me this in a private email “A lot of people go through life struggling with mediocrity and a void because they don’t do what they deeply desire” She said this to me in relation to something that I have been struggling with and I think it is so true. Sometimes following your dreams or doing something you are passionate about is the scariest thing, that fear of what you could possibly accomplish is so scary because the failure that could derive from trying could also be so great, but we can’t live life based on fear of failure, because the truth is sometimes you are going to fail, but the question is what are going to do when you hit that floor. Are you going to use it as a spring board and bounce back even higher, or is your fall going to break the spring, and you refuse yourself the chance to accomplish even greater than you had imagined? Sometimes you have to stop listening to what your friends, family or that loud voice in your head is telling you and listen to the quiet voice speaking to you and just jump, because only one of two things will happen.. either “God will catch you or he’ll teach you how to fly.”

As long as what you want to do does not disrespect or hurt other people… GO FOR IT!!

success isn’t how much you made or what great things you accomplished, it’s being the best person you can be at all times!

So when you look at yourself ask yourself this, are you trying your best to be the best person you can be? because if you are like me and you aren’t we need to try harder — and do what God put us on this earth to do, and that is to be great!
